Vehicle

1960 Cadillac Deville 4-Door 6-Window Bubble Top Sedan

It has been in storage a while…moving it out to sell it

This is a one-owner car that I recently “inherited from the owner after they started doing a restoration and then learned that their son did not want to actually inherit the vehicle. The paint is 6 months old but is not a great coat. They left a great deal of overspray on the surface. The interior is in good shape with new carpet, headliner, and seats. The only issues on the car are some window seals that need to be replaced and some pitting present on the bright work throughout. Based on time and other limitations, this was not my best detail. However, the car is unique so I wanted to post this.

Wash Procedure

Rinse

Bug Removal - PB Bug Squash

Wash wheels with Concentrated SSS

Wash with SSS and Foam Gun

Exterior Paint Procedures (give me credit...she is 19' long)

Extensive PB’s Poly-clay usage for overspray

Polish with Klasse AIO via PC @ 5, blue pad

EX w/ Carnuba (needed a good shine for the show the following day)

Glass - Stoners Invisible Glass

Meguairs Professional metal Polish on the bright work

Engine Bay

None – this will be done next time

Interior

Vacuum

Detailer's Pride Total Interior Cleaner

Stoner's Invisible Glass

PB Natural Look

Meguiars Pet Odor Remover (old car smell…)

beautiful car. what a time consuming job that must have been. it seems the results make it more than worth it! good luck with the sale- what are you asking anyway?

Thanks for the kind words. As Scott said, a 60's caddy is a lot of territory to cover. I probably need to go back and clay it again as the overspray was that bad and towards the end I was getting tired of it.

As for the sale, I am asking $18,450. At this point, I just want someone to take it to either enjoy it and drive it a bunch or to take the time and finish all of the little interior things that need to be done. I am flexible on the price as long as it is getting a good home. I am sure you guys can relate to that.

Zaino? Ha! This thing lives inside and sees sunlight once a month. Besides, I could not afford enough Zaino to cover the straboard side even.

Nice job! Thanks for sharing this one, I just love '60 Cadillacs...[Accumulator spends the rest of the day with Bob Seger's "Get Out of Denver" running through his head :D ]
