Same Pads/Polish for PC and Rotary?

I just ordered a rotary (low-cost) and would like to do some practicing with it. I already own a PC, along with an assortment of 6.5 pads from Sonus and LC.

Can I just buy an adapter plate for the rotary and use the same pads?

Same products with each pad for rotary and PC?

Thanks.

You can get a 5" backing plate for the rotary from Autogeek:

Then you can use your PC pads on the rotary. As a general rule, start with a less aggressive pad/product combo since the rotary will work much faster than a PC. Start out on a slow speed and please practice on a beater car or old panel from a junk yard/body shop.

Read around the forums and search a little, there are a lot of guys posting "first time" experiences with the rotary that may be helpful.

Link to Rotary threads.

smprince1- One of the great things about sticking with pads/products you already know is that there are fewer variables changing. All that's different is the rotary vs. the PC.

I'd leave the "rotary only" products for later, when you're familiar with the machine. Plenty of good products that work with PC/hand/*and* rotary.
