s2000 craigslist ripp off

holy crap, thats you?! i read up about this before

edit: lol nvm, the whole link copied the "I bought a s2000" part

Read about this over on Jalopnik last week. What a mess. Here's what I didn't get: why would the new owner pay for the s2000 w/o having a plan for how he was going to take it into his immediate possession? I would never buy a car and leave it with a total stranger (ie the previous owner) while shipping logistics were hashed out from 3K miles away. Heck no! Makes no sense to me.

Steve Letho has good advice on how to make the situation right, what AS-IS really means, and generally how absurd the whole situation is:

i agree, its his own fault.

I hope you get that SOB, if someone did that to me I'd make sure they were ridiculed to death in the court of public opinion, then bent over by the law. There is not one shred of decency in the human being, make him think twice before doing it again!

It's not his fault, I've bought plenty of cars without even seeing them. A LEGAL agreement is a LEGAL agreement, thus binding. If you alter it in anyway the contract is null an void. A shame you couldn't cancel the check, then I would have made him over night the parts express. That'll teach him....
