This is why I HATE IT when people quote our test out of context.
Yes, technically, NuFinish did finish higher than Gold Class (by 0.01 points). But, the only reason that NuFinish did "better" was because one portion of the grade, Removal (which accounted for 10% of the overall grade), fared in NuFinish's favor.
NuFinish earned a B+ for removal while Gold Class earned a D. Gold Class (paste) virtually welds itself to the paint and leaves a ton of residue when you buff it off. Had they both scored D's for removal, Gold Class would have trounced NuFinish.
Gold Class averaged a B- over 8 weeks performance (and a "high B-" at that). NuFinish averaged a C (and a very "low C") in performance...
Had my pen not been "bound" by my publisher, I would have really said what I wanted to say about NuFinish....and a few other products....Zy-something-another, Liq-something-another, For-something-another, etc. You get the drift.
Sorry for the ranting, but argh!
