I find silver so hard to work with, only somtimes can i get the result i want. So because of the 1.9 million posts per day on Autopia i got some s100 and SEPC. I still trying to get it right, but how am I going guys?

:bow :bow :bow

That is looking sweeet!

I hope to get the same results when I try it on mine. If the weather ever warms up............. 39deg.:nixweiss

It looks pretty good to me! :xyxthumbs

That hood shot is particularly good, but as a fellow silver car owner I can tell you it's hard to get silver to look really good in pics. It helps if you play around with the lighting and camera angles and such.

got some whole car pics somwhere, but im waxing again soon so ill post some up then.

Thanks for the comments guys.

This is not "silver" but this Seal Grey 911 is finished out with UPP and the finish came out pretty nice. It is hard to tell by the fuzzy digital pictures (wish I had Scott's photo talents and camera) but there are no swirls in this finish and one would be hard pressed to find any scratches and that is what one should strive for and then reflective qualities will come automatically.

I notice a trend among many detailers and weekend warriors that the greater the reflection then the better the finish must be but that is not always the case. In the right light a swirled and scratched finish can show off like liquid metal and then drive it in the sun and ARGhhhhhhh! It's ugly. Close the paint and refine the finish and the reflections will be there before you apply the sealant.

That's a great looking car, Anthony!

So Myles, what did you think of S100 and S100 SEC? Pics look great, but you really didn't comment on what you specifically thought of the products.

Hey thanks Scott!

If I can find sometime this week I am going to purchase another 35mm. I just can't compete with you, your fine cars and great pictures :(

My Minolta SLR was stolen last summer (thieves BITE!) and my wife is not happy about dropping another $400 down for a new one. Maybe an Etch-O-Sketch??

Anthony

Anthony-my Minolta 'disappeared' when my ex and I seperated, and the Cannon I replaced it with was stolen out of a rental. I now guard my Nikon N60 with my life!

Digital is convienent, but print film still looks better, plus I have 8 photo albums full of cars I've detailed that I can show my customers.

BTW, I paid $354 for my camera, including two lenses (28-80 zoom and 75-300 zoom) and accessory kit (strap, batteries, film) through Cameta Camera at www.cameta.com if you are interested.

Mucho thanks for the web site, I am going right now to check it out.

Sorry to hear about your experiences with thieves. People who steal things really..really tick me off. Right up there with the people who wait until they are at the bank drive thru to fill out their stuff!

Wow, nice finish and colour on that 911 Anthony. :) Pics can be deceiving sometimes, but I don't think I've seen a car that colour before in person! It looks like silver mixed with a hint of teal or something right?

Scott 'S100' Wax :D

Sorry mate, thought I had commented on it in my beading post. But i am not going to do a little review for you all.

The container is a double one, that is sadly a bit loose, but then again that may be a good thing, dont want to over tighten do we.

Nicely presented, in white, blue with silver. I open up the container and i am nicely suprised, an applicator AND instructions, with FAQ's. Even a dim wit can use this stuff then.

Smell is overly pleasant, and the wax feels hard but man it must melt easily or somthing because that applicator grabs alot of wax.

Man does this go on easy, and man does it come off easier. Although if you have S100 thats still wet on your MF towel and can be reapplyied but just keep on turning the towel and alls good.

The shine is very good, very clear and very clear. Doesnt seem to add any pigment of anything like others do.

The surface though doesnt feel as smooth and as hard , you know that definate super smooth hard protected polymer feel, like others do.

Durability seams fine, but in all honesty i giving it a coat every week.

Anything else i should comment on?

Hi Brian and thanks for the comments.

Yeah the color is very beautiful and when polished, extremely bright in the sun.

In the shade the color takes on a deep grey metalic color but it isn't really grey either. In the sun the color seems to have flashes of color from the purplish or magenta side of the rainbow. It is really hard to call it "just" Grey.

I detailed 3 of these babies yesterday and all 3 are the same color. I'll try to get all 3 together and take a picture of them in the sun next week.
