S100 Application Tips

I was wondering how long you (S100/PS21 users) let the wax sit before wiping off. The instructions say to wipe b/f it hazes, but i've read a few posts that said to Wipe On / Wipe Off. Is it supposed to harden a little bit, or does it stay soft?

I tried WOWO on one panel, and it seemed to make it nice and slick, but should i let it sit longer? My application of it went on like softened butter onto warm toast, which is a lot easier than the liquid waxes i've been using :xyxthumbs ......

Thanks,

The way you did it is ok. I've let it sit for about a minute and it comes off ok, but you might need a good MF with some bite to remove easier.

Wipe it on, wipe it right off.

Wipe it on a panel/ half a hood, then wipe off when you've finished applying it. It doesn't affect the appearnace any if it sits on the paint for 20 seconds or 20 minutes. It just gets a bit more difficult to remove after sititng for a while.

I can apply a layer to one whole side of my vehicle from front to rear, and then go back and buff off the haze from front to rear.

I can wax my RX 300 in 30 minutes with this method.

Why wait around while it hazes? Just keep working.

Try a waxing a couple of panels before you stop to buff.

If it takes 30 seconds per panel to apply, after 2-3 panels your first panel is ready to buff.

apply, put the jar and applicator down, refold your MF. Time elapsed: perfect S100.

Oh, don't set the jar down by your feet or you'll probably kick it across the garage like I did...

Thanks for the replies, i'll give it another round of waxing tommorow. I did one panel at a time, so i guess i'll do the same; wax one panel, and start on another and then buff first panel off.

I'm blown away on how easy it is to use S100; I never thought i would hand apply wax again, after switching to a PC for wax application via a finishing pad ( which makes waxing a SUV much easier).

Quick question: Are #16, #26 (paste versions), Souveran paste or Natty's similar to S100 in ease of application?

Anything that alllows me to get my car detailed faster is a definite keeper! Good Stuff! :up
