Rx350. Don't know what year...but it's an 07-09. Belongs to a friend I met in community college a couple years back.
Objective: Try to decontaminate the sandpaper paint and do a one step polish just to bring back some gloss. No full correction.
Not as many pictures as I usually take but here we go
Definitely time for me to look at affordable pressure washers. PSI was dismal at this location.
Nice swissvax wheel brush...wheel woolies for the barrels.
After dewaxing wash/decon gel treatment/forever with the autoscrub trying to get the paint as smooth as possible again...used menzerna SF4500 for this one step job. Some portions had terrible paint work...wanted to play it safe.
the most noticable paintwork defects I couldn't do much about in my time frame:
Rear bumper almost gave me my daily dose of vitamin c..also what looked like fisheyes in some places
Passenger rear door...turrible
r
Just a couple 50/50s. heavier marring was still there as you can see but for the condition the car is in...needs to go back to the body shop before attempting full correction.
Had to show the owner this in person before I finished polishing this section...he was certainly pleased.
Tailgate was part of the bad repaint but somehow managed a decent reflection. Dat Camo Paint
Washed again and prepped for protection.
Couple Afters once I finished. Tough Coat sealant, Chris Reigle's cloud 9 wax, Wolf's body wrap on exhaust/wheel faces
No interior shots, didn't do a full interior detail today..just a quick vacuum.
