Heyy guys, i have a question on dirttyyy rims. Have u ever had a customers rims which where neglected baddddd and your normal rim cleaners wont get it off? And you try rubbing and rubbing and applying more rim cleaner and going at it but it still wont come off. Or like when you take off the rims to thoroughly clean it from the back and you have those really stuck on spots... How do you get that off safely? I was looking at iron x maybe that works?

What have you tried? Look up Poorboy's Spray and Rinse and Iron X will also work against brake dust. How are you trying to clean them? Do you allow the cleaner to soak?

Ya i allow the wheel cleaner to sit and do its job, what i was concerned about is that heavy heavy brake dust that stays on your rim and is extremely hard to remove with your regular rim cleaner, for example when you take the wheel off the car to clean the inside behind the spokes, that kind of brake dust, was wondering if any one knew what was a good rim cleaner for something like that, like maybe iron x any one try it?

It depends on the what the wheel is made of. Most wheels will not rust. Either an acidic cleaner such as Poorboy's Spray & Rinse & Meguiar's Wheel Brightener OR an iron remover such as Iron X or Auto Finesse Iron Out will work great on caked on brake dust.

Pictures usually help. Gives us something to visualize.

Judging by the picture the rust is residue from the steel hub. That means it is on the surface so it can be removed. Iron X will eat it like candy (may need to do multiple applications). The dark stuff is normal road crap and my degreaser of choice on painted alloys is Brown Royal. It works everytime (might have to apply twice if really old).
