Rush job: (wash+wax+wheels)x2=40 minutes

I'm not claiming this I did this in proper Autopian fashion, but yesterday I had just a little free time and mine and my wife's cars were both in dire need of a wash. With my schedule and all the rain lately, mine hadn't been washed in at least 3 weeks and 2 for my wife's. And yes, I cheated a bit on the waxing. ;)

I usually use ONR, but this time I decided to try something a little different. I wiped down each panel, then sprayed each panel AW, then dried with my WW. I finished the exterior of my car, then used AA foam on the tires on both cars, then attacked my wife's car with the ONR and AW. After finishing the body on that car, I went back and cleaned the wheels on both cars.

Yeah, it was a quick and dirty job and I'm stretching things a bit to say I did a real wax, but it all came out pretty well. Two large sedans nice and shiny, complete with clean chrome wheels and fresh-looking tires in 40 minutes. Talk about working up a sweat. I barely had time to run inside and change before I had company show up.

No, I don't plan on making that my regular routine, it was just nice to finally squeeze in a couple of overdue washes. :buffing:

I appreciate your comment Scott, it makes me feel I wasn't being quite as crazy as I was afraid I was being. I haven't tried OCW, but from a quick glance at the product description it looks like it may be more durable than AW so maybe it's worth checking out.

For the small amount of time that you spent, I am sure the results were well worth it. I find it a little refreshing at times to skip the "regular routine" to do something a bit different.

Products like AW make things so simple and less time consuming too. It is almost harder not to do it, than it is to put a coat on. :chuckle:

Nothing like a quickie to make the rest of your day go better.
