Rupes UHS...

I think it was the advice of The Guz that taught me how to properly use it, but I`ve only used it a few times last year.

Well, if someone wants to give it a shot or replenish their stock, I`ll send it all to ya. 32oz bottle about 95% full, (6) 5" pads, only 1 used 3 times, others new. (4) 3" pads never used.

Very kind of you Budget. I recently sold off my 21mkII, along with some Rupes pads/gels. Kept the UHS stuff, though.

What about it didn`t you like?

Gave it a shot 3 times, hard paint, soft paint and probably 1 kinda in between and really didn`t do anything that I couldn`t get done with less `technique` using other things.

i.e. too lazy to learn how to use it well.

Came as an afterthought when I got into Rupes system last winter. Still like the Rupes yellow and white pads/liquids, have the blue as well but rarely use.

And tired of seeing 32oz bottles in my cabinet...why the heck I thought I needed 32oz bottles of things when I was just starting out last year and didn`t know what I liked yet was, uh, kinda a miscalculation on my part. Oops.

Sent you my address via PM.

Thank You very much!!!

Is there anything you would like to have? Or want to try...

Again...Thanks!

Got it. Will ship tomorrow and shoot you tracking info.

Thanks for the offer of stuff but I`m downsizing this off season!

Still gotta sort thru pads...can never have enough of those...shelf is full but sending off UHS clears 6 spots in my last `organized` container.

I guess I’m the only one who had success with the UHS system.

It worked nicely for me the few times I tried it; it was just kinda redundant with some other things I have acquired since that work more `naturally` for me. Can take a bit to get used to the UHS pads...first time I used it, man...did it make a slinging mess of polish. I`m still working on my technique with the Rupes and while I`m pretty good with microfiber and the yellow and white pads, the stiffness on the UHS pads was making a mess due to my current Rupes inadequacies.

Can pretty much get the same, quicker results on a variety of paints (especially softer/stickier ones) using Scholl S20 black and their blue/purple/honey spider pads if`n I`m in heavier one-step territory. Lighter one step for me is better accomplished with Sonax Perfect Finish w/ yellow rupes. Like I mentioned above, still not the great with Rupes and throw some thick, firmer pads at me and it becomes comedic in short order.

I can never have too many pads, aside from the UHS...I love `em all as far as Rupes go. The yellows are especially versataile and on soft paint like a Subaru, the white pads/polish do a nice job of eeking out that last bit of shine.

I might get rid of my Rupes blue pads/compounds but already spoken for...

BudgetPlan1...

It looks like you`re just about dialed in system wise! I`m still trying to find mine. From what you said above---I`m beginning to find the same thing as you are!

I`m intrigued with the Scholl S20! I will check that out next year! I really like the Sonax line too...

Again---Thank you very much for the UHS system!

I like it a lot! Really saved my hide on the 1931 Auburn!

At first, I didn`t like the UHS system. Thought it didn`t cut all that well. Had to re-read everything on the system, and lo behold---if done right, really works well. So yes, there`s a learning curve to the system. But once you grasp the concept/system, a really nice product.

Ahhh. Makes sense.

I can be too lazy sometimes. other times, just not enough cars to try things on! And other times...no time. :(

Seriously. I sometimes wonder why I bought 32oz bottles of some of the products I have. Let alone, gallons of some stuff! Oh well. Like you, I`m doing some cleaning as well.

I guess I’m the only one who had success with the UHS system.

hehe.. more than most on here, I guess? I liked it enough NOT to include it as part of my Rupes 21 sale. And I ended up buying a 32oz bottle in addition to the smaller one I already had.

I agree. I didn`t like it initially then I figured out how to properly use it (directions? ha). My problem was I went out and bought other stuff and different pads so I have kind of just all but forgot about the UHS stuff short of when I open the pad drawer and see those pads. I will give it a go on my next 1 step just for old times sake. I spent enough on all the pad sizes I might as well.
