The new UHS system is a one step system. It will remove medium to light swirls with one pad (grey) and one polish. Pads come in 4", 6" and 7".

It is about effective marketing. By bundling it shows some effort by the seller on providing easy to understand solutions rather than a put it together yourself since you can create combos with many products (Flex/LC pad/Menzerna polish).

Is that UHS grey pad really course and stiff? I just received mine and it makes me kinda nervous.
UHS pads are very stiff! I think this helps the UHS system provide the cut need for hard clear coats. Rupes says UHS works on all paint systems, but was designed for super hard clear coats that are coming from auto manufactures.
I've used UHS pads and compounds on 3 cars so far and love it! The pads will soften up a little after some use.
My gripes are of course the stiff pads are not great on curve panels and don't clean as easily as the other Rupes pads.

Thanks for the reply. I've never used anything like them and wasn't sure Autogeek sent me the right ones. I'm anxious to give them a try on my Golf R's rock hard clear.

Do they shred like the greens?

They will start chunking if you use one pad for long time; especially if the pad gets saturated or if too much pressure is applied (which isn't needed on a Rupes). Saturated pads can create lots of adhesion between pad and paint. Combined with 21mm of throw and chunking/shredding can happen. Work clean and the problem is no where near the disintegration you get with the LC Hydrotech Cyan.
