rupes ibrid nano vs new adams swirl killer micro

Ok gang question is which one to buy, rupes ibrid nano or adams swirl killer micro and why with price not being a factor. I was looking at getting one just for fun nothing serious I am not a pro. Mahalos for your response!

Similar to you I take care of only my cars. My combo of Rupes 15, 75 and ibrid nano (long neck) work great for my needs. Cars range from a large suv GLS to smaller sportscar 4C with all others being in between those two. I have not come up against anything that I can`t handle (again just do my cars but still a perfectionist). I have used this combo for a couple of years. Nano comes in handy on the 4C since entire tub is exposed carbon fiber in the passenger area.

Rupes.... better quality, will probably stall less, out longer so gremlins worked out.

Only reason to buy the Adams over the Ibrid is price.....

Thank you for your response! I thought you were the guy I was hoping to chime in on this i thought I saw you had both. How would you compare the 2 regarding the smoothness of the tool in action?

Thank you for your response I have a rupes 15 mark 3, meguiars mt 300 and a griots g8 reason why i asked the question is because i noticed the meguiars is not very smooth and has a lot of vibration especially when compared to the rupes. I was wondering if the same applies here. I was just looking for a new tool to mess around with just for fun.

I don`t have experience with others, however the ibrid has been smooth for me. I bought the kit thing and bunch of extra pads in all sizes. One tip if you go this way, I wrapped the head of it in cloth tape so that if bump anything it`s not metal against paint. The batteries last plenty long (I have two, don`t know if ordered estra or kit came with two). There is also a corded attachment should you run-down the batteries and still need to use it.

No i have neither but i’m weighing price vs value. I don’t do this professionally and don’t know if it’s worth the extra money.

I believe Sizzle Chest has both but he think he has the older Adams version.

I have both. Coatings/crack is correct, I have the Adam`s original version.

Tools are very similar in accessories that come with each one.

`Smoothness` is about the same with both machines.

The iBrid has a little bit more power, but I don`t know if that is that big of a deal in a `mini` polisher for me in the areas I am using it.

Balance I like the iBrid a little more, but again, nothing that is earth shatteringly different between the two.

Price, Adam`s has it all day long.

Hope this helps!

Yeah I know is making things difficult not sure which one to get! Isnt the flex the most powerful out of them all?

It is the bigger of the two between it and the ibrid. They have their pros and cons. The ibrid fits into more tighter areas and for me is the better 1 inch option. The PXE has the better swapping ability of the orbital function and for me is better at the 3 inch option. The PXE does have some nice power to it.

If could only own one, Ibrid or PXE?

Same thing here I’m too cheap I went with the cheapest option I have makita rotary and the thread extenders that look like lug nuts I have 5 of the 1inch extensions and small backing plates if I can’t get to it this way I’ll being doing it by hand.

I was going through the same dilemma that you are speaking of. When Adams ran the 25% off sale a couple weeks back, it made the price something I couldn`t pass up. I used it on one vehicle so far and really like it.

I bought the base Diavolo unit that looks like the Ibrid/Adams. Stalled too easily..... not sure if that also applies to those two?
Bought the PXE and I’ll live happily ever after now.
