Routine Car Wash Maintenance

What process do you all do for washing in between full details? I was thinking:

Interior:

- Wipe down of dash, console, etc. (water and 303 AC?)

- Fairly thorough vacuum

- Dress up of dash, console, etc. (303 AP?)

Exterior:

- Wash wheels

- Wash body

- Dry

- Paint cleaner? (is this necessary for UPP?)

- 4* UPP

- Tire dress up

Is there anything that I am missing and could add on?

Denzil,

I used Klasse All-In-One before applying UPP. I waited about 12 hours for Klasse to 'cure', then applied the 1st coat of UPP. I'm up to 7 coats of UPP now. I think I have problems. :D

I'd wash the body first, the move down to the wheels. If you do the wheels first, then all the dirt & grime (if any) from the body will go onto your clean wheels.

Also, I have gotten the best results with UPP by waiting 24 hours in-between coats. For my 2nd coat, I only waited 12 hours and it just didn't feel right when I was applying coat #3. It wasn't as easy to put on. The other coats were 24 hours apart and went on as smooth as silk. You'll love that product. Fantastic results.

303 Aerospace Protectant is awesome for the interior.

- Wash body

- Wash wheels

- Dry

- Klasse AIO

- 4* UPP

- Tire dress up

Thanks for the response!

Wow, 7 coats of UPP. I thought one coat was enough... maybe I should try adding more... hehe. I currently have the 4* paint cleaner but I will definitely try out AIO. I'll also be trying the SSR product line.

I would assume 4 Star's Ultimate Paint Cleanser is the same thing as Klasse AIO, but don't quote me on that.

Dwayne (PremiumAutoCare.com) reccommends 3-4 coats of UPP.

7 coats is most likely overkill, but I'm a newb and wanted to get the method down for knowing how much to apply. But.....once you put 1 coat on, you want to keep adding. I don't think it could hurt, or ruin the durability.

My process for the twice-weekly wash is:

Wash

Dry

Wash wheels with leftover wash solution

Scrub tires with leftover wash solution and scrub brush

Wipe off wheelwells

Wipe out door jambs

Dress Tires

Once a week or so, I'll use a QD after washing. I also polish my muffler every few weeks with 1Z Chromepflege.

My weekly routine consists of:

Wash wheels, tires and wells with double strength solution of shampoo.

Wash car.

Dry.

Wipe the jambs.

Dress tires and wells.

Vacuum and wipe down interior.

Apply QD.

My normal weekly wash:

Exterior:

Wash Body, wheels, doorjams/sills, exhaust tips

Hose down undercarriage and wheel wells

Clean and dress tires as needed

Interior:

Wipe down with damp MF

Apply leather and dash treatment as needed

Wipe down interior glass as needed

Depending on time:

I may add some LSP to the hood or bumpers.

I'm still way overdue for my springtime overhaul :o

There is no "cure" time for AIO. You can top with UPP immediately.

Weekly:

- Wash wheels

- Wash body

- Dry

-door jambs

Bi-Weekly

- Tire dress up

Monthly

- Windows

- Wipe down of dash, console, etc. (water and 303 AC?)

- Fairly thorough vacuum

- Dress up of dash, console, etc. (303 AP?)
