Roush Mustang, Acura TL, Infiniti G35x, and Accord Details

To kick it off, a 1997 Honda Accord Special Edition belonging to a very loyal client of mine. I have done a lot of details for him and his friends. He just picked this car up to daily drive while his white S2000 (yep, detailed it recently) rests during the ugly days.

The car has about 64,000 miles on it and was never garaged. The surface contamination was very low but there were a fair amount of swirls and etched water spots which led to the dull before appearance. My finals were:

-QEW (rain rinsed it :))

-Zaino Clay with S+W lube

-Hi-Temp Extreme Cut via rotary and LC yellow cutting pad @ 1500 rpm

-Optimum Polish via rotary and and LC red finishing pad @ 1200 rpm

-IPA wipedown

-Zaino Z2 Pro by hand

-CD-2 Engine Detailer in wells

-Turbo Wax Tire Gel on tires and trim

-FK1 #425 on glass

Next up, a 2006 TL. This is the second time I've detailed this car since new (first at 3k, now at 9k). The owner is very enthusiastic about having this car exceptionally clean. The Zaino was still very potent from when I detailed it over 4 months ago. He wanted the minor marring and swirls polished out and to have it looking "like it's supposed to". My finals were:

Interior

-Kids & Pets to clean

-Zaino Z16 to dress everything

-Zaino Z8 to clean/protect wood and silver trim, windows, and mirrors

Exterior

-Zaino Z7 Wash

-Zaino Clay with Z7 as lube

-Menzerna FPII via rotary and LC white polishing pad @ 1500 rpm

-Meguiar's #21 sealant x 2

-CD-2 Engine Detailer in wells

-Zaino Z16 on tires

-Flitz to polish exhaust

Next up, a G35x hit and run in the University parking lot (grrr). Luckily there was no dent, just paint transfer. My finals were:

-QEW

-Overspray clay on paint transfer

-Sand transfer lightly with 2000 grit

-Hi-Temp Extreme Cut via rotary and LC yellow cutting pad @ 1500 rpm (transfer only)

-Optimum Car Polish via rotary and LC red finishing pad @ 1200 rpm (transfer only)

-OCW

-Z16 on tires

And I will leave you with a nice Roush Mustang :drool. I QEW'd it, hit it with a layer of OCW, then the tires got Z16, wells - CD-2 Engine Detailer...

Questions/Comments, please feel free...

Ooh, a new Roush. You'll have to forgive me, I've been out of the states for a while, but what stage is that one? I worked for a dealership that sold Roush cars and the Stage 3 cars were insane for what they were. They all look great. But, to single one out, the transformation of that Accord is stunning.

Yes that is what I am talking about.

The reflection on the hood and the rear 1/4 panel above the sunspots show what looks to be vapor from a passing plane.

That's sweet :xyxthumbs

They look lovely!!!

Thoughts on the #21? I see you used it on blue--my favorite. :D

BTW, your ASD should arrive today. ;)

Thanks all ;).

Smoked: His is a Stage 1. He's had it for over a year...He was one of the first to own one. It has such a wonderful road presence.

twitch: CLOSE! hahah...Antennas on the boat next to it.

Joe and Scott: I like #21. The application is very Z2 Pro'esque. Thin is the ultimate key. It definatley darkens and deepens the colour, but still allows the flake to pop. I got minor streaking on the black Liberty I did and almost none with this one. I'm sure once I play a little more, it will be fine.

Joe...thank you :).

The TL is simply stunning. The interior looks incredible ( I know it wasn't detailed, by yourself, but we don't have them here in Australia, so I haven't seen them before.)

A fantastic external detail on all the cars too.

You certainly have excellent skills

..Interior

-Kids & Pets to clean

-Zaino Z16 to dress everything

-Zaino Z8 to clean/protect wood and silver trim, windows, and mirrors

Sorry Sean, I must have misread it, I thought you meant that it was cleaned by Kids & Pets... which now when I re-read it, seems stupid.

Either way, its a simply stunning car.

Well done again,

Clint

Umm, quick question. Does Zaino Tire Shiner splatter all over the place when you drive, or does it actually stay on the tires ?

DAN

SouthFlaGT: Let it sit for 30 minutes and I've *never* experienced sling.

Corey: I was waiting for you to chime in :). Glad I got your approval.
