As I haven't been able to touch my car in a couple weeks, naturally, I'm beginning to itch. And, while I'm at work, one way to scratch is to look for new or different products where I might be deficient.



I'm looking at getting a 7424XP before the year is out, and if I'm not overly deficient, then that will happen sooner. As such, I know I don't have anything for that, even any cutting polish. So recommendations for that would be appreciative as well.



My goals are as such: clean, maintain, remove swirls, fill chips and the white scuffs someone attached to the plastic bumper of my black Acura. Here's what I have so far:



Optimum: NRWS, ID&GE, Spray Wax, PoliSeal

Duragloss 105

Folex

Mother's Cali Gold Wash

Megs APC

Einzett Gummi Pflege

Black Magic Titanium Matte Tire

Mothers Back to Black

One bar remaining of the Mothers Showtime clay kit



2 gal sprayer

wheel brush (Harbor Freight special, haven't tried yet)

assorted MF, sheepskin



I haven't tried the PoliSeal, and am honestly not sure how (not practice, theory) to use it. I'm extremely happy with all the Optimum products, with possibly an exception to the Spray Wax. Not that I'm not happy with it, I guess it works fine. I just don't know. I'm not too happy with the Back to Black (streaking), but that may be user error.



I'm looking for new recommendations for wash (when I feel like doing more than just ONR), wax, polish and sealant, should you disagree with what I have.



Any recommendations in general, or specific, would help me out. I also detail a 2002 Mojave Mist Metallic CR-V, a 2003 Dark Garnet Red Pearl Durango, and a 2009 Satin Silver Metallic CR-V (only washed thus far). The 2002 CR-V is in actually REALLY good shape for going to swirl-o-whirls for it's entire life, and the Durango needs just a little bit of work to remove some entrenched water spots - nothing a machine shouldn't handle. Otherwise, paint is in really good shape on all of them. These are family vehicles I do out of love, and a want to learn.



I don't have an allegiance to anything other than not wiping the bank account clean. Value is certainly appreciated, as is your suggestions.
 
Looks like you have a pretty good start there.



Here are some of my recommendations:



Wax: PB's Nattys Blue

Sealant: PB's EX-P or UPGP

Polish: Meg's 105/205

Wash: Meg's Gold Class



All of those (with the possible exception of the UPGP) have good value, especially if you get the sampler bottles of 105/205 from ADS.

I have 3 shampoos I really like that give good "bang for the buck". They are Duragloss 501, Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Clear, and Optimum Car Wash. A great bug remover is Poorboy's bug squash. Once you get the 7424 I hear m105/m205 work great with the random orbital. 303 makes a good interior protectant, which is also a good uv protectant on outside plastic trim although it doesnt last super long on the exterior. DG105 is a great sealant and very economical, you might however want to pick up a paint cleaner to apply beforehand. DG501 works well with 105, as would p21s paintwork cleansing lotion. These are just my thoughts after looking at what you have.

I think he meant Duragloss #901 shampoo instead of the 501 which is a marine cleaner/sealant. I'd 2nd the DG shampoo..great sheating action also. The 501 has excellent cleaning power and contains sealant as well. I've heard great things about the PB Bug Squash.



SurfCity garage has some good shampoo also. The SC Grime Destroyer is also excellent but best used when your going to apply some sealant since the GD will prob remove any protection you have on.

Thanks for the recommendations so far. I have three days off next week, so I'm seriously considering getting a PC for my birthday and going to town.
