rotory choice

Hi all
Im looking to get either the Hitachi or the makita rotory ,Im thinking along the lines of the hitachi as its the lighter of the two any comments on these two appreciated.

I know it isn't on your list, but I went with the DeWalt 849 after the Makita and I won't look back. I find the weight an advantage, but I'm only doing a coupla hours of polishing a day.
 
Definatly spend the extra for the makita. I highly reccomend the makita. I have only held a dewalt so I cannot comment on performance of the dewalt vs makita, but I know I liked the feel of the Makita better.

I have a dewalt here sitting in my garage. Have not used it once. Found it too heavy and wasn't in the mood to start "learning" to sue a new machine. I use the Makita. I know I didn't mention the hitachi, but the makita is a must when compared to the dewalt
