I did a badley swirled chevy today I removed all the swirls and scratchs with DACP and Menzerna IP. But when I got it in the sun I noticed the halographic effect very minial in the way the rotary was spinning. What im I doing wrong not enough water to much compound or ?



Iv Got a Makita 9227C with Yellow and White CMA 7.5 Pads.

Either your pad is dirty, you are using to agressive a product or you are using poor technique. Try cleaning out the pad and polishing a panel at 1200 rpm with a very fine polish or swirl remover. Keep the pad flat and check your work afterwards by going over the area with water/alcohol. Go slow and you'll be fine.
