Rotary - What/Where to purchase? (UK)

I am looking to progress my detailing skills (and the level of finish achievable) and I am thinking of purchasing a rotary polisher.



I already have a PC and are very pleased with it, but seeing some of the results achieved with a rotary convinces me that this may be the way forward.



Any recommendations of what bit of kit to purchase and from where? Anything else I need to be aware of/get?



All advice appreciated.

Sorry this is off topic but how do you get the PC to work on our mains? I am wanting to buy a PC now and was wondering this.

Wherever you purchase the PC from its worth asking if they try and ensure that it misses the VAT catchment. Mine did and it made quite a difference to the price.

I have heard a few people start on a rotary just due to availability.



So sure you could start out on one just take it slow and work with the least aggressive combo and on a junk bonnet/hood etc.



You should be fine.

Proper auto care has a great deal on a dewalt 849, i bought mine right before x-mas and it was 175 they just raised the price to 200 but its still a great deal, (free shipping in U.S.) not that it matters to you.

metabo is the one you want ,powerfull and light

Flex L3403 VRG is a better machine then Metabo, and the Metabo is good.



The flex is more powerful, 880watt(Metabo 660watt) and lighter 1,9kg(metabo 2,4kg)

I think that you can buy flex in the US, beacuse Porter-cable´s owns Flex.

They are called Porter Cable Flex.



In Sweden you have to pay ~$350.



I bought mine from Germany for a lot less. And once again, it´s a superb machine. Compare it to the dewalt DW849, bulky(~8,25lbs?) to the Flex´s ~4,25lbs and power output Flex 880watt and the dewalt 670watt. It´s half the size and is much more powerful. Need I say more?
