Rotary Showdown, my thoughts

You can get an Acura Integra Type R for less than 25K. They come stock with 195 HP on a 4 banger and limitless potential for modifications. Are you looking for a domestic or import car?

Don't Z28's start below $25,000? If not find one a year old. You are not going to find more than 305 HP for that price.

I've come to the decision that it doesn't make any difference how fast a car is if the design is bad enough to make you want to kill yourself. :) No offence to any RSX owners but I think the styling of that car is nothing new. It looks like a Civic and the Civic looks like a Focus. I'd rather that they kept the original body style of the integra and put a faster motor in there. Just my opinion though. I respect the engine but that car doesn't excite me.

While that particular Acura doesn't look "incredible" in my eyes either, I've read countless articles stating that this car is a lot of fun to drive. I believe it comes with all sorts of options that are "standard" in this car . For the price, it does seem that you get quite a car. Just my .02

What about an early 90's M5 or M3? i think you can get one for about 25K. Or a used C4 or C5 (don't know if the C5's are that cheap yet.)

Okay.........I'm confused. What does a speedometer that reads 160 MPH have to do with anything? Is that like sticking an "R" sticker on the car?

Just because a speedometer goes up to a certain number doesn't mean the car has the ability to reach that speed!

A very few. I don't know of many Mustangs under 25,000 that are top performers. I don't even think you can get a Cobra for that these days. A Saleen or Steeda or Roush is the only way to go for a Stang. :) YOu need some serious bucks to get one of those. They are sooooooooooooooooo nice!

As far as speedometers go, mine says 150. I don't think that means my car goes that fast but at least I know how much more than the speed limit I'm going most of the time. I had a car that stoped counting at 85 and I burried the needle so many times I ended up stripping something or winding a spring too tight and the sucker would get stuck on certian speeds after awhile. Having a long speedometer prevents that. It also says "speed" to the driver. How would you like a Vette that only had a 120 speedo? :)

 cars are cheap over there, the same model here will set you back $37,000

Your best bet would be to go find a stripped down (no options) 2002 Camaro Z28. You can't beat it HP wise for the money unless you want to buy a used car.

might come just to the $25,000 line... but the ONLY choice IMO... Subaru Impreza WRX... i live in colorado which is the subaru capital of the world.. and i know a lot of other parts around don't know much about them.. but this is the BEST car you can buy for that much. All wheel drive and turbo charged... 113.5 hp per liter (227 hp 2.0L). Just simply amazing. I have a video i took at the local track of a stock wrx (except for blow off valve and cold air intake) taking a supercharged 'vette off the line (and was ahead for the first 1/2 of the quarter or so) Plus you can get the blue rally color which looks simply breath taking in person. Once you read up on them it's obvious why it's the car of the year.

Ok I know you guys are talking about cars but you can't beat the bang for your buck of motorcycles. The fastest stock bike in the world is a Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R it weighs less than 500 pounds and will do 190 mph in stock form while churning out 160 hp. Total highway superiority for 11 large.
