Rotary Pads - Cutting/Finishing

Well I've searched and read almost every topic on rotary pads, but still have a few questions! I have a Makita 9227 in the mail, and was going to order these pads.

Edge 2000 8" Wool - Black, Yellow, Green

Lake County CCS 7.5" Foam - All (Yellow, Orange, Green, White, Gray, Blue)

From what I've read, everyone cuts with wool and finishes with foam. I'm going to be doing a lot of older vehicles that are heavily scratched and oxidized, which is why I am getting the black wool.

Is it worth getting the blue or lambswool wool pads for finishing? I dont see why though, as foam is preferred for finishing.

Do I really need the gray and blue foam pads? From what I've read most people finish with the white and then do a LSP.

I have a UDM with all the color pads that came with it also.. so I will be using this for final finishing/apply waxes and sealants.

I don't mind spending the money if need be, but I'd rather not waste money on pads I don't use!

Honestly, if you don't plan on applying sealants/waxes/glazes buy machine, ditch the blue pad, and possibly the black pad.

Sometimes people use the black foam bad to get the MOST perfect finish from 106ff. But if you don't want to do that. Then you could ditch black and blue pad.

Also, I don't know much about wool pads. But I need to get some. I would strictly use WOOL for cutting/polishing. And then use the White LC pad to do the finishing/finessing.
