Rookie polisher, which product(s) to use.

My Dad and his new wife have somehow mastered the art of making their car look like complete crap. I don't know if they are driving straight through the forest or what, but there are tiny scratches (light) all over the car.

Well my dad has a buffer (oh boy) and wants to know what product would be best. He previously used a hand polish and had to rub pretty vigorously to get the scratches out (maybe thats why he bought the buffer). In any case, what product would be best for him to use to avoid slaughtering the paint with his buffer? I may end up doing it anyways seeing as how I at least have a little more experience with sanding and grinding.

Thanks.

Probably the most goof proof product line of polishes are Optimum's. You just have to remember that 2-3 pea sized drops of polish are all that is needed for a 2' x 2' section.
