I am a detailer. Professional? Getting there...I still have a lot to learn. Despite that, I am pursuing my own business and with some degree of success. My work is not the best of the best, but it is praised by anyone who comes through my shop.
Another service thatI provide, and probably the catalyst in my LLC formation, is headlight retrofitting. I install and upgrade projectors, make one-off clear lenses to replace the stock amber units, do custom paint and tinting, as well as repair and restoration. I know that this is not all "detailing" per-say, but we are all car fanatics and I think you can appreciate the craftsmanship and individuality of the service I provide.
I am going to use this thread to display some of my work to date, and some of my more unique future projects. I am always willing to answer questions about any of these modifications.
Here is the headlight resto I just did on my Jeep. I found a link to a homemade sealer that is supposed to work better than opticoat and is a fraction of the cost. It is looking very promising:
