or Dandy Don as some called him. A native son from Mount Vernon, TX who played his collegiate ball at SMU and his pro ball with the Dallas Cowboys. Many will recognize him from the early days of ABC's Monday Night Football.

You will be missed.

Don't have ESPN so I missed that story. I heard the great Walt Garrison tell a few tales on Dandy Don. Walt is one of the few that could give Don a run for his money in the area of homespun humor.
