RimWax

Does anyone have opinions on RimWax by Smartwax? Is it worth the $17 to get a wax specifically for wheels? Does it yield better results than using a regular sealant like SG, for example?

I'm getting some other stuff from Top of the Line and wondered if I should add this to my cart.

Thanks! :)

I got #845 instead. Cleaned with AIO and seal with #845. Give me long lasting durability and also another wax that does great.

good product but if your looking for durabilty your better off with your Sg and if you have aio use it before SG...or you can use what Beason said and top it off with 845 Insulator wax...

by the way if your intrested in 845 a closer place to order for you since your in ca is patrick at exceldetails.....

I recently bought a tub of Wheel Wax from properautocare.com. Looked interesting and I was near their place so I picked some up. I recently did the whole Menzerna thing to my '05 TSX, and car looks really good, but thought the wheels didn't look as good as the rest of the car so I wanted to try something new. Maybe I put it on to thick because it was a PITA to remove, but wheels look really nice. They have a nice pop to them that I do not recall them having, even after waxing them with normal car wax. Can't believe how filthy the applicator was when I finished. I have stock painted/clear coated wheels on my '05 Acura.

I've used Wheel Wax in the past. The problem I've had is that after storage for about a year, the product separated, and I couldn't mix it back together. Never was in freezing temps, etc. First time a product ever went bad on me like this.

I just use Klasse SG now . . . I figure it offers better protection than any wax product could anyway.

Penny,

Just buy a bottle of Z-2 Pro or other quality sealant and have the ability to do both the wheels and paint. Zaino is said to last above 400 degrees so hot wheels should not be a problem.

I haven't tried this particular wheel sealant, but I've tried Poorboy's Wheel Sealant and I was rather disappointed with slickness and longivity. Collinite 845 is bulletproof...AIO and 845x2 should last you awhile as long as you wash with soap/water/brush regularly.
