Rim's and a coating?

Looks like I am getting polished aluminum 17x11 rims for the rear and 17x9's up front.

They are polished aluminum and I drive my car off an on in the rain, snow and whatever I have to in order to go about my daily duties. They are a major pain in the neck to clean (buddy has polished rims) and I was thinking about using this:

I heard it wont strip off, wont hide the shine and makes the rims so much easier to clean.

What are your thoughts, has anyone used this stuff before?

$145 is a lot ... and the endorcements can be bought. I have seen things on TNN like the Mr.Clean no spot washer get raves.

I have had numerous sets of polished ( non-cleared) aluminum wheels. Granted they arent as trouble free as cleared ones they are by no means a pain.

Read the FAQ.. only good for 2-3 years

Before I spent that kind of money I'd be looking at Klasse AIO/SG and see how it works out. If you don't run the wheels in road salt or chemicals you should be ok.. thats the only thing that bothered mine. Also regular washing .. every 3 weeks won't cut it.

For cleaning I used NeverDull or Mothers Mag & Al. polish.

I agree with Jesstzn about using AIO/SG. If used monthly and washed weekly, you should not have any buildup or pitting.
