It was cheaper to buy a new vac than to buy the filter for my old one..

The one on black Friday was 5.0 HP and 16 gallons. So its not considered the same as this one. However, great deal nonetheless.

Pull up their local ad from the web site after you type in your zip code. That way you can tell if your stores are running that BF promotion. For Tempe AZ (85283) it was on the last page (8). Plus it has a life time warranty :)
 
Filters vary depending on media but usually are $5-9

I change mine yearly (easy Christmas gift to ask for)

I think that is just the store you went to because I called three local HDs here and none of them will honor that; they said its online only.

It's smaller than the Black Friday vac. but still a great deal at 19 bucks
