Review: Ultima Waterless Wash Plus Concentrate

ihaveacamaro

I like teeth
UWW+ is one of my favorite products so here is my review on it :rockon

Why is it that when manufacturer's do a review, they clean a perfectly shiny and glossy car??

This review shows just how effective the UWW+ is when cleaning a DIRTY car :)

Thanks for watching!

Great review! Thanks for taking the time to do it and post it up for us.

I really didn't want to watch it but I did. lol I got my bottle of UWW+ two weeks ago and haven't had a chance to try it yet. Doh! So far all I had a chance to do was smell the product. It's one of my favorite smelling products already! :D

You are going to be very happy with it! Did you see how easily it took care of those waterspots in one swipe!? That's no BS there, just a plain old great product :D

It was a good comparison too since my truck is wearing OC2 also.

Nice! I love OC 2.0, but man I still get water spots like crazy. I thought for some reason that it would be better at getting water off the flat spots than wax, but in my experience it's pretty much has the same hydrophobic properties as wax, but permanent.

Thanks for posting. I liked that you took the time to talk about the need to change towels frequently. IMHO this cannot be emphasized enough when talking about a waterless wash.

Nice! UWWP FTW!!!

Great review. I love UWW+. Its my favorite waterless wash.

Thanks! Mine too!

Yeah, I feel as if it is just as important as using a quality waterless wash. Why people will spend hundreds of dollars on products, and then use improper technique is beyond me.

Nice review! I also use UWW+ and am very happy with product. As you say it is very cost effective!

You note in your review that it does have limits - depending on how dirty your car is. I know at times I am pushing the limit on the amount of dirt is being asked to handle but so far it is the only way I am cleaning my car... and I am very pleased!

It also did better on cleaning my wheels than a wheel specific cleaner.

Be careful when doing that, as you may cause scratches. If you polish every year or so, then knock yourself out. But still, always best to practice the safest possible wash!

Maybe pressure wash the dirt off and then follow up with UWWP?

Also that is kind of strange. What wheel cleaner do you normally use? UWWP, in my experience, is not nearly strong enough to remove brake dust and grime without me having to really try. If I have to really try, chances are I'm scratching the wheel.

Great review. For the price and performance, it's tough to beat UWWP!

Thanks! And I agree. Have to try that new Pinnacle though! The carnauba in it is very enticing

I like the pressure wash idea. It will clean most of the dirt off and then follow up with UWWP.

When I said it cleaned the wheels I really mean the hubcaps. The dirt on the inside of the wheel is still there and for that I just ordered the Pinnacle wheel cleaning spray that comes packaged with a small brush. I will see how this product deals with the issue!

Gotcha! In my experience, hubcaps are nice and all, but they make for annoying wheel cleaning! Let us know what you think of your new stuff when it gets there :)

Good job on the video. After watching it though I am thinking that there is a lot of dust and dirt collected in those spots and I myself would be skeptical on using a waterless wash on that much dust and dirt. My Camaro is black and just from me washing and detailing it and as careful as I have been after 5 months I had to polish out towel marks and micro marring before I put my winter wax on. I have been looking for an alternative for cleaning my vehicle in the winter since I heard the car washes use a harsh soap and with temps well below freezing breaking out the car shampoo and hose is out of the question. I just can't say I am in favor of the waterless wash. I am glad it is working for you.

That's why there is the test. Swipe your finger. If in your swipe you still see dirt, don't use waterless wash and the dirt is a film. If you swipe and all the dirt has been moved, then it is simply light dust.

When you did the swipe test in the video I cringed. That must be some super hard paint or clear coat you had them put on as I could never do that test on black no matter how thin the dust layer is. I am new to detailing and am not trying to put your procedure down it's that I own a black car(for the first time) and I realized how easy it is to put a fine scratch in it with your finger.
