Thanks to 3D/HD and Autopia for doing the holiday giveaway. I decided to test out the HD Polish on a blue mazda miata whose paint has been neglected for a few years. The car has some deep scratches in the clear coat from the previous owner. I used m205 with a cutting pad followed with HD Polish on a polishing pad with a Griot's DA.
Packaging:
The HD Polish came in a simple box with enough packing to keep if from moving around too much. The cylindrical polish bottle is very easy to use with a pull-up cap. The bottle and cap combo make it very easy to apply the right amount of polish to the pads. I have found other product bottles hard to handle with one hand, not so with the HD bottles.
Scent:
HD Polish defintiely has a car polish smell, but with a nice citrus undertone. It made me do a double take and the pleasant note caught me off pleasantly off guard.
Application:
HD Polish went on smooth and a few pea size dots of polished covered a 2'x2' area. I took my time and didn't do any overly large passes. I was very happy with the work time of the polish. Quick detailer and a microfiber easily wiped off any left over compound. The removal process was very easy. The polish is dust free as advertised which is great.
The end result is great. HD Polish left the paint with great depth and clarity - it finishes very well. It's amazing seeing nearly mirror like reflections in the paint. Good job HD! I look forward to continued good results with HD Polish.
