Premium Car Care ECO Touch Wheel Cleaner
Like everyone I enjoy trying new products to see what they bring to the game. I enjoy planning my tests determining the paces I’ll put the product through but also keeping in mind of the products intent and usage directions.
Ingredients – Since this is an ECO friendly product it uses lauramine oxide and alcohol ehtorxylates as cleaners and mineral oil for shine. ECO Touch Wheel cleaner does not contain hydrofluoric or sulfuric acid.
ECO Touch Wheel Cleaner is safe for all wheel types. It’s to be applied to a cool wheel, let set for 30 seconds in order to penetrate contaminates, then wipe off with a paper towel.
ECO Touch Wheel Cleaner is supplied in an easy to use 24 ounce spray bottle.
My Z06 wheels seemed to be a great choice for this test as they've recently seen some serious driving and were clearly in need of a thorough cleaning.
As you can see, the wheels were coated with a good amount of brake dust and road grime.
As directed, I liberally sprayed the entire wheel and caliper with ECO Touch Wheel Cleaner allowing it to soak in.
While the directions say to wipe the wheel clean with a microfiber towel, I decided to hose the wheel down to see just how much of an affect the product itself had on the brake dust and grime... I was actually surprised to see how little of the contamination rinsed off.
In order to gauge how much debris was still present I sprayed the wheel with CarPro IronX. As you can see the chemical quickly reacted with the remaining particles turning the wheels into rivers of purple.
Finished
Final Thoughts:
ECO Touch Wheel Cleaner did work if used as directed. I wiped a small section with a microfiber towel but I'm not a fan of wiping brake dust across my wheels thus the reason for hosing the product.
This is one of those products that is better suited protecting the environment than it is cleaning.....:sorry:
