Review - CarPro Reflect Polish

**** DISCLAIMER: I was not going for perfection ****

Reflect arrived early last week and waiting patiently on my detail shelf to be tested out. The test subject was a Black Toyota RAV4 with some heavy swirls & scratches.

Here is a picture of how every paint panel looked on the RAV4.

To start I used a green polishing pad with CarPro Fixer(Thanks mjlinane for the Fixer!). 4-5 drops were placed on the pad with my Griots. The Fixer was applied for a total of 4 passes and released pressure on the last 2 passes.

I did place a blue tape line down. The pad was cleaned after the first section and I placed 2 or 3 small dots of Fixer and repeated the above process on the right hand side of the tape before using Reflect.

I was blown away by the Fixer results(first time using Fixer). On the right hand side of the tape I wanted to see if I could up the Reflection with the Reflect polish.

The Black finishing pad was primed with a small X. The Reflect was applied with 4 passes and released pressure on the last 2 passes.

Note: I transferred the Reflect polish into a new CarPro bottle. This allows compounds/polishes to be applied to pads very fine and controlled.

This photo was shown for anyone wondering how to much to use on the next section. Clean your pad after each section of using Reflect. Two small pea drop sizes for next section.

Wow! The results of Fixer on the left side alone were amazing. The Reflect on the right side also looked amazing. I could not tell a difference from a few feet away of either side. Time to pull out the brink man LED and see if there is a difference.

Fixer - close up photo shows some deeper scratches and very fine scratches and haze.

The rest of the hood was compounded and polished with Fixer & Reflect. Reflection shot of Reflect on the hood outside!

Fixer & Reflect did an amazing job. At first I didn't think I needed Reflect but under the LED light it was easy to see what Reflect could do.

Thanks for viewing!

Great work. I can't seem to get the hang of fixer. Almost gone through a full 16 oz bottle and still not getting results like this. Got another full bottle if you interested in a trade for something. If so message me

Great review. This looks like missing link in the Carpro line up. I like Fixer but I could never get it to finish down the way I wanted it to with a DA. It seemed to finish better on a rotary. Reflect looks promising in solving this :)

Thanks, Reflect spreads very easy and finishes down very easy. Very little reflect is required per section.

Nice work. What are your thoughts of Reflect vs other finishing polish?

Thanks Pat, a great polish product!
Excellent work. It looks like a great product. Can't wait to give it a try.

Thank Mike and for the Fixer!

Great review, Ben!

Thanks! gocubbies, what is your process (pad, polisher, speed)?

Thanks, took care of what was left behind in my test section.

Here are my tips on Fixer:

Use lower speed - I like 4 on my Rupes with washer mod.
Use less than normal - 1-2 drops after pad is primed.
Work it until it disappears.
Lightly wipe.

My go to 1-step when I need good correction or have sticky paint. Fixer works drier than most polishes and very clean.

Mike have you noticed it being difficult to remove when its been worked until its completely broken down? I've not had that trouble when using it with the rotary, but I can't get the hang of it with the GG6. I was working on a 2013 Taurus yesterday and had planned on using Fixer, but it was just taking too much time to remove. I ended up having to use a towel soaked with Eraser just to remove it. I thought maybe it was just sticky paint, but I switched to V36 and it was fine. I really want to like Fixer because I'm a CarPro fanboy, but I've never encountered a polish with such a big learning curve.

Short answer: yes - especially if I use too much and it dries. Try cutting back on the amount used and go at a reduced speed. Normally will look like there is nothing to remove. If you see a film after a couple of passes, you are using too much. Pad should look almost pristine after light brushing.

If it does dry, try a couple of passes with no pressure. It will "regenerate" and wipe off fairly easily.

Used Fixer here:

Excellent video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2A9YYX7p5Y - I use far less Fixer.

That would explain it then because I've been using 4 or 5 pea drops. Ill give it a shot this week and hopefully get the results I expected from it. Thanks for the tip and links. Good stuff :)

Great, let us know how it turns out. I was really impressed with both products.

I’ve used 3M Perfect-It 3000 Machine Polish (AKA Ultrafina) and Menzerna PO85rd for years.

I just used the CarPro Reflect: High Gloss Finishing Polish and all I can say is…AWESOME!!!

It blew me away. My wife (who does NOT have a discerning eye) noticed a big difference.

If you have been on the fence about a finishing polish Reflect delivers extreme high gloss.

Are you guys gonna make me buy more stuff ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

IMHO - This one's a game changer. It leaves the other two in the dirt.
Half the price and IMHO more than twice the gloss. Did I mention easy?

  • Produces an extremely reflective and glossy finish
  • Wipes off like a dream
  • Diminishing abrasives and unique nanotech materials
  • No durable fillers, No silicones, No waxes, No polymers, and No Teflon
  • No dusting
  • Excellent with both Rotary & Dual Action
  • Removes fine swirls from coatings with appropriate pad
  • Great value!

I'll have to pick this one up as well. Curiosity got the best of me and I just ordered the Rupes finishing polish after using SF4500 today.

Too many finishing polishes and not enough finishes to polish.
