Review : Autopia Chenille Wash Pad

I have used several wash pads and found this one to be right up there with the best...it does not last long though...........*sigh*

My dogs got a hold of a brand new sheepskin wash mitt and in playing "tug of war" with it, totally destroyed it. Makes you want to call 1-800- Bad-Dogg!

"My dog ate my wash pad"

I'll have to use that excuse the next time it takes me longer than normal to detail a car. ;)

I take it you were happy with the pad until your dog got hold of it, right?

"But Daddy, the stuff you marinated it with smelled sooooo good!"

LMAO

I have two "children" of my own. Know where you're coming from!

Hmm, nice pic of your dog CUJO! :p

Care to ignite the remains of your chenille pad to perform a "large sample" burn test? :)

4DSC---> I Did a burn test as soon as i got it and it did not come out 100% cotton but it was close i would say 20%ish was nylon/polyester stuff the rest was cotton. It did not turn into a black bubbling puddle of goo that burns for five minutes like some of the wash pads i tested.

Yes I was quite happy with it till Thor got ahold of it.

Here is Thor's Nephew. I call him Tank (he weighs 145ish) GF calls him Lynyard.

I had a customer whose dog would snag my vent brush if I laid it down where he could get to it. Once he got his nasty mouth on it, I'd let him keep it. I now just keep it in my pocket when I clean their cars.

HeHe. I'd love to see someone argue with my dog over who got to keep the new object of his affection. :) This is the first time hes done something like this...there was a sheepskin wash mitt in the same bucket....and on top of that the wash pad was all wet and soapy. Maybe he really likes the flavor of Sonax gloss shampoo, this was the first time i had used it too. *shrugs*

Goofy Dog

Erick-the dog that snags my vent brush is a 120 pound rotwieler (spelling?). I've known his since he was a puppy, but I am still not taking anything out of his mouth.

LOL.

My dogs arent as tempramental as a Rottwieler(i dunno how to spell it either)

Now i have to either order another from the autopia store or search for another one....Any suggestions? (can i hijack my own thread?)

The Detailer's Choice chenille pads they sell at Pep Boys are pretty good. That ought to tide you over until you can order another one from the Autopia store.
