Reusing foam pads with the Porter Cable

If you clean them in between, can you use the pads with different products on different cars? Can you use a polish, clean it, and then use say a wax some other time with it? Or should you restrict it to one product only even if you clean them? Along the same line, if you clean it, can you use the pads on different color cars?

Restrict the pads to one type of polish or compound. I have a pad for harsh polishes and one for swirl removers. I have used different products with my swirl remover pad but I never use wax on it.



I have a seperate pad for my cleaner wax, and then one for my pure wax.



Cleaning never completely removes the product. Notice after you clean how you can still smell the polish or wax on the pad.



Yes, you can use pads on different color cars.
