results of my first detailing...

After 4 and a half hours i am finished. Overall i am pleased with the results and fairly impressed considering i don't have a PC.



washed with dawn and hot water

clayed

polished with meguiars speed glaze 80 with cheap orbital

wipe down with IP mixture

1 coat of klasse SG

thank you. frnt clip is from a different car...good eye.



front bumper is actually from a different car. the hood was replaced after my mother backed into my car, and the new hood was blended with the fenders. apparently it is still ever so slightly darker then the rest of the car.

thanks a lot. application and removal was fairly easy. The initial panel was a little difficult because i used too much SG. But after adjusting the amount and buffing off nearly right after application (following the advice of several people on here) it went on just as easy as it came off. I used a simple foam applicator pad and applied it by hand, and buffed it off with a rectangular turtle wax microfiber "applicator".

yes. i noticed that about an hour ago and re dampened the microfiber and re buffed and its gone.



now that my car is this clean and vivid, i feel like i need to go back to the body shop and complain about the hood/fender blend. :doh

a yellow vector random orbital 10 inch buffer, bought at pep boys about 3 years ago for 20 dollars.

I got mine at autozone for $20 lol, but now I have an UDM.

Tomorrow i am going to try and do one more coat of SG before the rain comes in. What should i do prior to applying? The car hasn't been driven tonight its just sitting. Run over the car with a microfiber cloth just to get the dust off?



Also after the 2nd coat has been applied, i plan on washing the car later in the week when the rain has stopped and topping it with mothers pure carnauba.
