Residue After Using Quick Detailer

I have been using Meguires Quick Detailer spray recently. I notice that when I lean against my car to put my convertible top up and down my pants get dirty from leaning against the car even though I have a shinny clean car. Does quick detailer leave a residue on the car

Considering the other post you just made about waxing on a very hot day, I would surmise that the wax could be the culprit. Maybe you put it on too thick, and what you got on your pants was in fact melted wax that wasn't adhered to the paint. I may have a similar situation myself that I posted about this morning where my hood becomes smeared after using Aquawax. I think it's a combination of using too much, and the heat of the engine coupled with the outside heat making a smeared mess. Otherwise I've never noticed any QD's that I've had leaving any residue.
