Repair Small Leather Tear?

Hey guys - I have a customer that came to me asking if I could fix a small year on his leather seat. I really don't work with these kind of situations, but I offered to get him some advice. Recommend any product or technique to fix this? Please see pic. Thanks!!!

FYI that's not leather, it's a vinyl on the sides of that seat.

That's not a tear. It's missing a considerable portion of vinyl which will leave a very visible repair. An upholstery shop can do it best.

yep, a lot of times "leather" means leather seating surfaces only.

This is the way I would go...as stated, any amateur repair job is going to be very noticeable.
