I recently picked up an 09 Camry in Classic Silver. It came with some Toyoguard protection package which I have now learned is a waste of $. Part of that package is some kind of paint sealant. I can't seem to find much information on it, what it contains, etc. I did receive a bottle of Toyo Guard Sealant Cleaner. All it says is that it contains "Petroleum Distillates".
I really prefer to use my own silicone free sealants like the Menzerna or chemical guys line topped with a nuba. Question is, how to I go about making sure this Toyo guard sealant is completely removed before I start my prep, clay, seal, glaze and wax? I searched some old posts dating back to 2001 where someone mentioned using 50/50 IPA to remove sealants; though no ever said if it actually worked? I was hoping not to polish the paint yet (since is absolutely swirl free), but I will if that is what it takes to remove the sealant. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
