This is the hood of my 97 Saab 9000 Turbo. I spent about 2 hours on it today to get the results you see.

1-2 passes with IP on a woolpad
1 pass with IP on a cutting pad
1 pass with SSR1 on a cutting pad
2 passes with SSR1 on a polishing pad
1 pass of AIO with a surbuf pad
topped with Stoner Max Bead

About half the hood got some hand treatment with PP too.

Now if I can get the rest of the car looking that good!!!

Well I did skip a minor detail didn't I?? I used a PC. The thought of me holding a rotary is pretty scary!! :lmfao

Thanks Mike :jump - it's actually dark blue but there is nothing in those shots to give the color away.

Didn't get to work on the rest of the car today. :(

That last shot is "calendar worthy"!!! :bigups.

Very nice work. You're inspiring me to start tackling my neglected black beast. I just need some of that GA weather now. :whine

Can't wait to see the rest of the Saab. Is it clear coated? A friend of mine said Saab never clearcoats Black (I know you said it was blue, but it is a beautiful dark blue)

Thanks for the compliments. :)

It is clear coat. It's also metallic but it takes the perfect lighting to see the flakes. I'm hoping that Wolfgang will bring it out a bit when I'm all done. Let's see at one panel at a time with my upcoming schedule - that should be about July!!
