Good Afternoon,
I am currently working on detailing my daily driver (01 White Crown Victoria) and am currently in the process of removing many scratches from the paint (from its police service). The scratches I am trying to remove are very noticeable in my garage under fluorescent tubes, but are not so deep as to catch your nail at all. You can't feel them, but they definetly show up.
I do have a PC polisher and edge 2k pads but have a limited selection of polishes. My three main polishes are Mothers Power Polish, Megs Swirl Remover, and Megs Medium Cut Cleaner. I have used powerpolish with the yellow cut edge pad on speed 6 at aprox 1/2 inch per second and saw no results. Then I used the Medium-Cut Cleaner (I know it is a rotary polish) with the green cut edge pad on same speed at same rate and some of the lighter scratches started coming out and the paint hazed. I then went back over with powerpolish and removed the haze.
So my question is what product is similar in cutting power to the medium cut cleaner that is made for the PC? Also any suggestions to help in removing the scratches...I realize I may need a rotary for some removal, but the majority of these scratches don't seem that deep, just maybe the paint is hard??
Thanks for any suggestions...
