Removing Road Paint from Tires

It's pretty heavy on the outer edge and sidewall...enough that driving over time...contact patch will not be making the road.

Inclined to use some sort of solvent with a light scuff off a abrasive pad...which should do the trick. Maybe it's because the tires were dressed a couple days ago but a quick fingernail scratch did remove it off the sidewall.

Would any of ya'll use solvent on the tire.....

There are $3+ tires.

Depending on which state, most traffice paints are latex and thermal plastic. If it feels rubbery, it's latex. Not too many states allow oil based, so be careful with any solvents as they will also weaken the tire.

I'd use a brush to remove with some APC type cleaner, and make sure it's rinsed well.
