Removing pavement sealant?

I was coming back from a weekend trip to St Louis when I encountered a highway crew spraying something down on the road, I thought I did my best to avoid them but apparently not. I now have a fair amount of this clear sealant on my wheels and rocker panels.:wall.
I called the highway department and they said that it was a poly clear sealant, but didn't know what would dissolve it. Any suggestions on what may work? I already tried a claybar but that didnt even touch it.

Ill try that first Steve, thanks. I got some on my exhaust tip as well so I'll test it on that first to see what works. Less chance of paint damage.

Just thought I would post an update for those who may have this issue in the future....

I tried some APC with no luck, then I was going through my cabinets looking to see if I had any mineral spirits when I came across a can of 3M Automotive Adhesive remover, gave it a try on my tailpipe, and with a few strokes of a MF towel the sealant came right off. moved on to the rocker panels with the same results.:bigups

Get on that stuff ASAP, stuff that they use on roads has some good adhesive on it...Mineral spirits would be my choice...its worked wonders on road paint over spray that I have used it on...clay after to pick up what's left...that's if Steve's suggestion doesn't work

Thanks Dave,

I got on it pretty quick, luckily it came off pretty easy with the 3M stuff, but I will pick up a can of mineral spirits for such times in the future.:bigups
