removing dried polish from rubber and trim

I finished a 2.5 day adventure of detailing my wife's 05 Acura TL using my new Flex. The only thing i neglected to do was tape off the car before using M105 & M205 and now i'm really regretting it. I have dried polish on just about every ruber trim piece and black plastic pieces and i can't get it off without spending 5 mins on every little area. Its taking way too long.

Do i have any faster options? a product that works well for this? i tried Mother's back-to-black but that is not working very well.

Keep using the Mother's stuff. It should get better with multiple applications. Also, try buffing with a dry MF towel in between applications.

Next time, use the B2B *before* you polish. Everything wipes away super-easy with no taping!!

As best I know, you're gonna have to tough it out and get that stuff off. I'd then treat all the plastic/rubber surfaces that the polish came in contact with.

I have had good luck with a thin MF and FK QD. Also Using Purple Power VERY carefully works wonders.

Use a small brush and or foam swabs to apply PP, clean the stripping, and immediately flush well with water. Now you can use the Mother's (or whatever) to finish the job.

Always. Always. Test a small area when using any kind of strong cleaner before smearing all over the place.

That said, I have never had an issue with PP. Probably due to the fact that I use and flush, and repeat if necessary.

Take a MF towel Spray some good ol' glass cleaner on there For really stubborn build up spray the rubber trim itself with the foaming glass cleaner and poof almost instantly it will all come off.

DO NOT use mother's back to black to remove the stuck on polish. you'll just create a bigger mess.. I have always had luck using either a highly concentrated wash solution like TOW, and most currently FK Prep Wash (or whatever it's called) but also Meg's APC+ 4:1 or 8:1... spray either lightly on a m/f towel and go along until it's all off...
