Removing Armor-All Sheen

Other than time, is there any way to remove a glossy sheen from interior plastics in favor of the more matte finish that one gets with 303 protectant?

Yep, use your favorite APC. You will be amazed at how much crap you will get off the plastic.

Surf City Garage has an interior cleaner called dash away that strips it off well and apparently lays down some uv protection. Even removed some of my old floormat stains, steering wheel gunk, etc. I highly recommend it

Full strength? or dilluted?
.....depends on the brand/APC you use. However, manufacturers usually provide recommended dilution ratios based on the application (usually general descriptions but it gets you in the ballpark).

I would use some Windex on a MF cloth.

The ammonia in windex is pretty harsh isn't it? I know it dulls the clear plastic on instrument clusters.

i usually soak my interior with protectant then go back and wipe it down with a mf and it leaves a like new finish, and i wouldnt recommend using windex with ammonia it stands a good chance to stain your interior, to be technical u should spray your glass cleaner on the cloth your cleaning the glass with not the glass itself to prevent accidental staining

Just wipe over it a few times with a MF towel. That will take most of the sheen down. Unless your vinyl is "dirty", you don't really need to use cleaners IMO.

You'd think it wouldn't get dirty, but it does....

Water/APC+ 20-1 on a car with 52k miles that was very well taken care of. This is only what was on the steering wheel:

Clean rag on the left for comparison

The rinse water was clean when I started.

The wheel went from looking all shiney and worn to textured, almost brand new.

....it will take more than a dry cloth to properly remove all of the residue left by that junk from the interior. It happened to me *once* when someone thought they were doing me a favor.
