A customer apparently let some wheel cleaner sit to long on her wheels leaving a lot of white hazing. I tried using PP but it did nothing? What can I do to remove it and what wheel cleaners do you use that isn't so agressive but still effective?
Reapply the same wheel cleaner then agitate with a brush and hose off while still wet. That should remove the crusty dried on stuff, unless of course it was a etching formula on a delicate finish. Then you've got another problem.
Personally I haven't found most wheel cleaners to be a problem, and I've tried most major brands. I don't think the problem is so much that you cannot leave the product on too long, but that you must NOT let the stuff dry up on the finish, otherwise it becomes super strong and damaging. Maybe Mr.Chemist or someone has something to say about that....
