Since it is so important to use very little Klasse SG on your vehicle, is there a small container you can use to pour the correvt amount of SG in and help you use less?

Someone put up a link to a site that sold plastic containers awhile back. I can't remember very much about it though. I tried to do a search for it but I couldn't find it. Maybe they will repost. :nixweiss

If you go into a craft store that sells paints and things, you should be able to buy empty plastic bottles for paints. They might help control the amount of SG that you use.

The regular bottle works well if you are careful but I know what you mean about using too much. I think I used more in my first layer than I did in the next 5 layers combined. It is hard to tell how much you have on when applying it on a white car. The rule of thumb around here is that "if you can see it then you are using too much." Whoever coined that phrase never used it on a white car I'll bet.

edit: That's the link, William! I've been looking for that. Thanks. :xyxthumbs

I wouldn't change containers - I'd just go by the nickel rule - never put more than a dab the size of a nickel on a dampened applicator. So many factors to determine what amount to use on your car - size, kind of paint, condition of paint, environmental conditions - the amount to use would probably vary greatly, and it would take lots of effort to get it right per vehicle.

Small amounts on the applicator, and just recharge it when you don't see any product rubbing onto the vehicle.

what is with this site hackers are all over it . i offered to be a moderator and help delete these guys . tokeep this forum running smooth.

It's not just this site. All of them have been getting hit up by spammers as of late. I think the admins./mods. on this board do a very good job of keeping them out. Unfortunately, spammers come with the territory of running a forum.

BTW, I dig the Terminator pic, admin! Hopefully he won't be back. lol

As far as the spammers, I think you guys would just shake your heads if you knew the true number that don't even make it as far as being able to sign up.....and that is on a daily basis.
These guys us "bot" programs and have their computers just pounding away with fake names, IP addresses, and e-mail addresses, trying to sign up.

The ones that do actually make it through are, in most cases, actual "carbon units" that sit in front of a computer and go through the signup process as if they were trying to be a real member of TID.
Usually, the ones that DO make it through do so after your Admin is sleeping.
Yes, I do sleep ocassionally. ;)

As RustyBumper said, it does sort of come with the territory.
These spammers see a site with a lot of traffic and just figure that all of us want to buy their erectile disfunction drugs, or download their ****!

My hats off to all the mods who catch the guys I don't.
And thanks to those of you who alert us to a spam post.
Thanks for all your help.

Your friendly, neighborhood cyborg will continue to stay vigilant (or should that be vigilante?) and keep out as much riff-raff as possible.

This sort of thing happens just about everywhere. I'm an administrator on a woodworking forum and we're busy with this sort of thing all the time. This takes up allot of time and effort.

Looks like another successful smack-down to me! :Boxing:

I feel you admin. I'm admin at optimum forums and I have seen a huge jump in the past few weeks. I'm sending a confirmation email, using the ip power board spam service, google capcha at signup and one will still get me from time to time. But I ALWAYS have the last word...(power trip over, return to thread)

I just realized this myself but in the right hand corner of a post there is an exclaimation point that you can click on to report a spam post.

On a side note I also just realized that was Arnold in the terminator pic :-B :D (not our Admin LOLOLOL)
