remove powdercoating

I bought custom made front strut tower bar and a rear 3 point strut tower bar for my car. When i bought them i had them powder coated yellow cause i was gonna go with a red and yellow color scheme but i think red and yellow looks too much like McDonalds now. My question is could i just sand off the powder coating on the bars? If not do you think i could just paint over them with black hi temp paint? Im afraid that if i try and paint it myself it will run cause its mostly round aluminum tubing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My 3rd option, can you reccomend anyone in the Northern VA area who can do powder coating?

Thanks in advance

I'd bead blast the bar first with some glass bead. This will safely strip the powder coating. Then, I'd clean it really well to make sure all of the dust is gone.

Then, I'd get an Eastwood supply catalog, and purchase their home powder coating kit. My friend bought the kit for his 68 911S (we're restoring it), and it works very well. We've powder coated all sorts of goodies. You can get just about any color you can think of.
