Remove polish reside in bumper stone chips?

I just worked on my neighbor's dark red camry. There were plenty of stone chips on the front bumper and the leading edge of the hood before I started but they weren't standing out so much. I washed, clayed, washed again and polished the car. I used a PC and Menzerna IP with orange LC pad. I followed up with ZPC and a white pad. I followed the IP with an IPA wipedown.

Well now, the paint looks really good except for the front bumper and front of the hood. It seems like all the chips are now standing out like a sore thumb. I don't know if the color I see (whitish tan) is the bumper material itself or polish residue. Initially I thought they were chips that went all the way down to the primer and that is what I was seeing but now I'm starting to think it is polish residue as the back bumper had some pretty nasty scratches and the material color underneith is black.

Assuming its polish residue, does anyone have any tips on getting polish residue out of front bumper chips so they don't stand out like a sore thumb? I sprayed the bumper with 50/50 water & IPA and wiped with a MF towel but to no avail. Toothbrush? Detail brush?

Thanks in advance.

I topped with Zaino Z5 - it doesn't turn white and the white/tan spots were there before I put the Z5 on.
