Remove AIO before SG?

Did AIO and SG on my truck the other night. As I was buffing off the AIO, it occurred to me that I might not have to do that before following up with SG. That would save time and 1 or 2 dirty towels. Does anyone approach the twins application in this manner? I can't imagine there would be a bonding issue. It "might" increase final product removal difficulty, although I've never had a problem with removing either. Thoughts?

If I am reading this correctly you are suggesting to apply SG over AIO that has not been buffed off. I don't see how this could work. What is SG going to bond to, AIO residue? When you tried to buff off the SG you would remove all of it along with the AIO residue that hadn't been removed yet.

Why even try this? AIO is so easy to use just wipe on and wipe off.

If this is a serious question (and I am a little dubious about that) ...

Although AIO has some protectant in it, it is primarily a clemical cleaner and would almost certainly affect SG's ability to bond to your paint, if not completely removed. And even if that were not a factor, SG is a sealant and you do not want to seal in the AIO residue.

There was another thread about a person mixing AIO and SG as a one-step. Even that would be much better than applying SG over AIO residue and give you the time "savings" you are after ...
