Reflections Detailing of Utah in a Magazine

I bought some 2000 grit sandpaper to work with the touch up paint on my Maxima. I did a test on a spot and the sandpaper worked fine to level it off. Now the next question is whether I use a mild rubbing compound to clear all the scratches out. Would Perfect-It work in a situation like this?

I've had good luck using Wizards Turbo Cut, then FI2 and finally Wizards Finish Cut to get rid of the sanding marks left by the 2000 grit paper. I've not used Perfect-It so I'm not sure which product of mine is comparable. Just be patient and take your time and you should be OK.

I'll be picking that up next week.:D

I use Perfect-It II fine Cut Rubbing Compound by hand to remove the haze caused by wet sanding. Takes a couple passes, but then is ready for protectant.

i hope it pays off for you in more bizness... i always felt it would be a good idea to stand outside a big carwash and show what you can do to clean customers paint and what their cars could look like. though it would kill the car wash business if people knew what those brushes did to your paint. nevertheless....

Thank you everyone! The marketing aspect of detailing is hard for me, so I'm always trying to expand it. I am going to try and leverage this article to allow me to write up a/some articles in the local papers this coming spring.

Thanks again,
GREG
