Redid my Mach1.....

.....and I was just wondering, is it possible to make my Mach1 look deeper and wetter? Or is this the best I could expect of my color (Azure Blue)?

This is what my Mach1 looks like, and this was taken this afternoon near sunset, some clouds, after being washed with NXT wash (it got dirty at work):

I did this this past weekend, and was my first chance to use my new PC and CMA pads.

My process was:

- #80 Speed Glaze w/polishing pad at speeds between 4-6 (the speed depended on how bad the swirls/marrs were). BTW, I gotta say THANKS to Scottwax for recommending #80. It really did a good job of removing a majority of the swirls/marrs.

- #81 Hand Polish w/polishing pad, speed around 5. I heard this was a good thing to use after #80, so I gave it a shot.

- NXT w/finishing pad, speed either at 5 or 6. I didn't have time to put on another coat.

I do have Meguiar's #16 Pro Wax, and #26 High Tech wax. Would one of these give my car a deeper and wetter look? Or is there something I might want to try in the future (my funds are pretty bad right now)?

I'm asking because well, it is nice, but sometimes I think it just looks shiney, not so deep or wet looking, which I prefer. But if this is the best I can expect, well, then that's fine too.

Come to think of it, could it be the way I am taking the pictures? I'm using a Canon A70 Powershot on the Auto setting. I have this picture taken a couple weeks ago, weather was sunny with some clouds, NXT on the driver side, #26 on the passenger side.

Kinda looks the same, huh?

Or am I being too picky? :wall

Thanks in advance,

Reid

If you have #16 and #26 you might as well wash it again and top with either. I like the look #26 gave to my black (deep) but you always hear great things about #16.

One thing, I think Meguiar's refers to #81 as a "pure polish" or glaze, so I think a finishing pad may have been more appropriate. Then again, I used it followed by #26 both by hand, so maybe not...

If you are looking for a more glossy wet look than I would definitely go with #26. #16 has more of a clear reflective look to it. There are several pics of my GT with #7 topped with #26 in the Webshots link in my sig.
