In trying to convince myself not to order Zaino but I cant help myself. Damn after adding 5 coats of klasse too, not that it doesnt look good but just want to try Zaino. What do you guys think?

Hey C240, took the plunge myself. Picked up Z6, Z7, ZFX, 5/2. Used it this weekend, was extremely pleased. I have worked with Klasse and BF.

Need to give it a little time, but believe this will be my top choice.

LOL. i didn't want to tell anyone since i've only used the klasse on my motorcycle, but i ordered a whole set of zaino stuff last week. i want to have the option when i get the new car to use either one. okay, i'm a dork.

well, here's my plan with both products. i'm selling my current car to my aunt. so before i do that, i'm going to klasse part of the car and z another part. for me, this is strictly to analyze the "look" of both products. the reason i'm interested in klasse is because of the slight darkening and deepening of black paint as opposed to, what i consider, a slightly plasticy look to z.

i might also try to strip the klasse off of my rear seat cowl from my motorcycle and k half and z the other half to compare. i'm not worried about the durability of either of them. so it's just a matter of the difference in appearance.

how do i remove klasse anyway? alcohol?

definitely. in fact, i should be receiving my z this week. i just need to strip the klasse off of the seat cowl i have sitting on my kitchen table. wondering if i'll notice a difference between z and k in any practical sense. we'll see.

<strong class='bbc'>A paint cleansing lotion, or swirl remover will strip off the Klasse. [/b]</blockquote>
rubbing alcohol mixed with water will strip it too, correct? if so, i'll probably opt for that since i don't have a paint cleanser. i have power wash, but that's it.

You'll never know unless you try.

I did - I published my report at http://pages.sbcglobal.net/gheumann/zaino_test/

Since then, ZFX has come out, removing one of my principal objections. (My other, which is the silly hype surrounding the product and the refusal of Zaino to make its products available through anything resembling a normal/competitive distribution channel, is the reason I decided to test Klasse next, instead of Z again.)

Since you're already a Klasse user, you'd really be doing us all a service if you tested the stuff. It would be a real apples to apples comparison. All I ask is that you really attempt to do this objectively - before/after photos taken under identical conditions, "blind" assessments from others (i.e., without saying which product is where, ask "can you tell a difference between the trunk and the hood? Which one looks better?"

Hey! What about me! :)

C240, I know the feeling of wanting to continually try other products out. Even with mixed reviews, I was still curious about trying BF. A very generous forum member sent me 3 ounces of the polish, protectant, QD, & shampoo, which I used on my friend's black car. I'll be posting my review this weekend after I do a final wash.

for now, but dont know how long i will go before I order some Zaino?? Depends how well I am pleased with Klasse.

I say buy the Zaino...although not a Zaino user myself, I believe only by trying different products you'll know what products work best for you...

and you'll get the satisfaction of detailing your car more often along the way :)

I will buy it soon just started the Klasse. I will wait a little see how the SGx5 holds up and try Zaino.

Friday night about 1 hour before I was going to leave work a salesman approached me with a brand new red 370z that had some white marks in the paint, swirls, rids and bird crap etching. I had and still have no idea what the white marks were. I told him the detailers can try to do something with it, wasn't sure what he wanted me to do as I am a service advisor at work. Well 5 minutes later the new car sales manager approached me and asked what I could do with the car and when. I said I can make it look new and can do it this weekend. I asked where we got the car from and he told me Nissan.... It is brand new off the truck it went into our service dept for its Pre Delivery Inspection and then went to the detailer to remove the shipping stickers, wash, clean window and wax. So they filled the car up and I drove it home.
Friday I inspected it in the garage with my wife and she was shocked how badly this car looked and it was brand new. She was telling me I could not make it look new it is to far gone. Well I had to show her, I did a test spot right there and then, I can see through the polish the paint was looking great, I wiped the polish away and bam scratches. So I polished again wiped in a different direction and scratches. Well she laughed and said see I told you and walked away.

Saturday morning 8am 17 degrees I started the detail, again test spot and found the Shag Rags I had were the only towels not scratching the paint.

Process
Friday before I left work I pressure washed using APC to clean the car
Next morning washed with ONR
Polished with Rotary and LC wool pad using a mix of M105 and Opt Spray compound used this on hood, roof and driver rear quarter where the white mark was
Griots DA with LC orange pad M105 using what I learned from Kevin Brown
Isoprohyl wipe down
Griots DA with LC white pad and M205
Isoprophyl wipe down
Griots DA with LC black pad and Prima Amigo
LSP today was Bilt Hamber Finis wax also used on black trim
I was very impressed with Finis Wax

Total time 13 hours over 2 days in temps from 17-35 degrees

My kids got the camera and I lost a few pictures but here goes my very bad attempt at picture taking

Very nice job, that is a great looking car. When I first saw the 'new' 370Z I thought it was a step backwards over the handsomely aggressive 350Z, but now that I have seen them around they have more than grow on me. Thank you for sharing!
